Machine learning

A mail sorter that learns from me

A small classifier trained on which emails I actually replied to. It keeps what needs me and marks the rest as read, with no paid model calls.

A mail sorter that learns from me

About

Most email does not need me, and a large language model is an expensive way to find that out. So Lumi sorts my mail with a small classifier instead.

It is logistic regression over the words in a message and a few signals, trained on my own history, where the label is what I actually did: replied to it or starred it. Anything above a threshold goes to "needs reply"; the rest is sorted out and marked as read. It costs nothing to run, and the same code trains and predicts in a script, a background job or a test.
